Workshop: Challenging research practices through MBO-HBO-WO collaborations
In this session we will use interactive exercises to involve participants in realizing the epistemic gaps in their own research practices. We will discuss the dynamics in play in building successful MBO-HBO-WO coalitions for education and research that addressed important societal issues, and what changes are needed from the individual to the system to allow these to flourish beyond single best-practice examples like the Bildung Climate School in Rotterdam.
Participants will analyse their own research questions in the light of potential MBO and HBO involvement, and start thinking how they could improve MBO and HBO co-equal integration in their research projects.
The workshop will be led by Ginie Servant-Miklos (Associate Professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Director of the Bildung Climate School), Senka Rebac (Researcher in the Design Thinking Research Group (Lectoraat) at Inholland University of Applied Sciences and Research Coordinator for the Bildung Climate School) & Marleen Hofland-Mol (Head of research at Albeda College for Economics and Entrepreneurship and researcher at Albeda practoraat Equal Opportunities).
