Lisa Loeb
Comedian, writer and presenter
Lisa is one of the most prominent feminist voices in the Netherlands. She dissects inequality with humour and incisive analysis. She does this, amongst other things, in her Druktemakers columns on NPO Radio 1, through which she reaches hundreds of thousands of listeners every week. Her most-viewed column on the systemic underestimation of pain in women, garnered 1.8 million views. Since September 2025, she has also been a regular columnist for &C magazine.
Lisa is the author of BANG – (lachend) leven met een angststoornis (2022) and Dit kan geen toeval zijn (2025), both of which made it into the Bestseller Top 60. In the spring of 2026, her third book, Fopfeminisme, was published: a confrontational yet humorous book about how the Netherlands deludes itself with the idea that it is at the forefront of women’s emancipation, whilst the figures show that it is overtaken on all fronts. Lisa will also be taking to the stage with the cabaret lecture of the same name.
For her work on women’s emancipation, Lisa received the Mensa Fund Impact Award. The jury praised how she ‘uses humour and openness to make topics such as the position of women and mental health open for discussion’. In the run-up to the 2025 elections, Lisa collaborated with LINDA. and WOMEN Inc. on a national campaign to put women’s safety higher on the political agenda.
In addition, Lisa has over fifteen years experience as a stand-up comedian. She has performed in virtually every theatre in the Netherlands and at numerous festivals. She has been nominated three times for the Annie M.G. Schmidt Prize for the best theatre song. On television, she has presented programmes such as Scrooge Live (NPO1) and FBoy Island (HBO Max). Together with her husband Daniel Paarlberg, she produces the popular podcast De Complottenpiramide (Podimo), the largest conspiracy podcast in the Netherlands.
